Mackenzie Heard is a Colorado native, living and working in San Francisco, California. She is currently exploring the world of abstract painting by incorporating vibrant colors, organic shapes, and intricate details. Each painting displays the complexity of emotion or a moment creating a nostalgic dreamscape.
Edgar Degas once said, “art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” It takes a single moment to capture the undivided attention of a viewer; to draw them closer. At that moment, space and time start to fade away allowing for a momentary escape. She is inspired by the silence and contemplation that draws you to a work of art and can consume you for hours. She believes that art, when done intentionally, can change the room you’re standing in and begs you to be a part of the entire experience.
